Gardenia Bonsai Help!!!?
I got my bonsai as a gift abotu 3 months ago for our 4 yr anniversary(boyfriend in iraq)…and it’s been troubke for about 2 months…started seeing cotton like substance on the bark,and tiny lil whit larva and bugs in the soil… and now its been dying ever since.I’ve tried the dish detergeant solution and buying stuff from the store and nothing has worked…It kinda humid tonight (I’m from chicago) so I actually set it outside but only tile early morning because it’s gonna be hot here…can anyone direct me in the way of reviving my plant…some of the branches are dead and brown and some of it is dry and black…there still is some life to it tho…hlp pleez!!!

You can seriously murder them (and not harm your plant) with spectracide bugstop (walmart, lowes, home d). Suggest you remove any dead material, won’t hurt, will encourage small leaf growth (what you Want with a bonsai). Gardenia will take full sun, prefers acid soil (epsom salts is a cheap alternative, water in with miraclegro). They love humidity, thrive here in SC.
